Dragonfly Hot Yoga in Fitchburg was started in 2011 by Megan Ryan Kaiser (now Megan Tucker). Megan, the daughter of former UW basketball coach Bo Ryan, was in Los Angeles working for ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, when she was introduced to hot yoga.  This form of yoga is done at temperatures ranging from 75 to 105 degrees depending on the style of yoga being done.  She moved to Fitchburg but could find only one hot yoga establishment which was not convenient from where she lived.  This prompted her to establish her own hot yoga company.  The venture was a success and there are now four Dragonfly Hot Yoga locations in the Madison area. Kaiser named her company Dragonfly based on the similar qualities of dragonflies and yoga. Dragonflies live for only a few months but have meaningful lives.  Yoga concentrates on the here and now. Dragonflies are powerful but graceful. Yoga gives the same feeling of strength and grace.  Dragonfly Hot Yoga offers classes as well as personal training and is sensitive to people no matter their physical condition.
