My strong interest in history and genealogy and interest in preserving history and connecting its relevance to current times led to my willingness to serve on the Fitchburg Historical Society Board. I have lived in the Madison area, primarily in Fitchburg, since I graduated from the UW-Whitewater in 1979 with a degree in Journalism and Speech Communications. I am currently retired after working as Director of Policy Services at the Wisconsin Association of School Boards, Inc. for over 40 years. I worked with public school districts all over Wisconsin on local school district policy development and keeping them up-to-date on the changing laws and emerging issues facing local school district governance.
In addition to my interests in history and genealogy, other interests of mine include travel, music and theatre, movies, community service, and spending fun times with my family and friends.
