Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream Company was started by Chuck Sr and Nancy Deadman in 1962 with their shop located on Monona Drive in Madison, WI. Using premium ingredients and countless adjustments to the recipes he developed wonderfully tasteful ice cream that has been a favorite in the Madison area for almost 60 years.  The company has been turned over to their sons, Chuck Jr and Dave Deadman.  They own four stores in the Madison area and have two wholesale customers, one in Middleton and the other in Fitchburg.  They also supply the ice cream to over 400 small independent restaurants and scoop shops nationwide and supply their ice cream at Aliant Energy Center events and many local events such as Concerts on the Square and Taste of Madison.

The Chocolate Shoppe in Fitchburg is owned by Andy Lanz and opened on April 24, 2015.  Lanz previously owned 5 Cousins Sub stores in the Madison area.  Besides owning the Fitchburg store, Lanz is responsible for selling Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream at many local events.
