City on a Hill is a fundamentalist, non-charismatic, conservative, evangelical fellowship that welcomes all who know Jesus Christ as their Savior and all who are seeking Him. It was organized in September 2017 as Harvest Bible Chapel Madison with the partnership of the North American Mission Board. They recently bought the Light and Life FMC church on Fish Hatchery Road. The mission of the City on a Hill is to glorify God through the fulfillment of the great commission stated in Matthew 28:19-20. ¹⁹ Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, “²⁰ and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” To accomplish their mission, their Sunday service examines bible passages and applies them to their lives. They also have small group meetings during the week to further discussion.
