Edward Jones, a Fortune 500 firm, provides financial services for individual investors in the United States and, through its affiliate, in Canada. Every aspect of the firm’s business, from the types of investment options offered to the location of branch offices, is designed to cater to individual investors in the communities in which they live and work. The firm has more than 18,000 financial advisors who care for more than 7 million clients with more than $1 trillion in assets under care.
In July 2019, Edward Jones financial advisors rated the firm “Highest in Employee Advisor Satisfaction among Financial Investment Firms, 10 Times in a Row,” according to the J.D. Power 2019 Financial Advisor Satisfaction Study.
Edward Jones began serving clients in Fitchburg in December 1999 when Rob Waterman opened his office in the Hatchery Hill Plaza. Waterman greeted the community with an open house the following spring, which featured over 75 local residents, The Mayor, City Manager, and Economic Development Director. Waterman hired Stephanie Blankenheim as his Branch Office Administrator in 2001. The two paired together to serve Fitchburg until 2018.
Serving and giving back to their local communities has always been encouraged by Edward Jones. Waterman was a regular program presenter at The Fitchburg Senior Center from 2000-2016, including being named a Board of Director for Friends of the Fitchburg Senior Center in 2016.
In 2006, Waterman was named “Broker of the Year” by Edward Jones in a 10-county region. In 2008, Waterman and Blankenheim were recognized as “Top Financial Advisor and Branch Office Administrator” team for Client Service Excellence. Both were named Limited Partners in the firm for their work.
Since 2003, Edward Jones in Fitchburg has been recognized as a top contributor for the Allied Drive Food Pantry and Toys for Tots.
After nearly two decades of helping clients prepare for retirement, Waterman announced it was time for himself to transfer into retirement. His retirement created opportunities for new offices to be launched. The first office to open was at 5510 Nobel Drive, where Denise Faust currently assists clients. Brad Stepp launched his office at 5950 Seminole Centre in 2018. Stephanie Blankenheim took over for Waterman at 2990 Cahill Main, also in 2018. Matt Miron moved his Edward Jones office to Fitchburg from Madison in 2017.
The Edward Jones Fitchburg team looks forward to continuing to serve the local community.
