Me & Julio is a Mexican American sports bar that has become a favorite after work location. Patterned after the original Me & Julio in Hastings, MN that was opened in August 2011, the Fitchburg Me & Julio was opened May 23, 2016 by co-owner Michael Shaul and 3 partners. Located at the former site of several failed restaurants, Me & Julio appears to attract good crowds from the many businesses in this area.  The main large room contains high tables and chairs with a line of booths surrounding a large bar.  There are many large HDTVs showing a variety of sports events (Packers and Brewers versus the Minnesota Me & Julio which specializes in the Vikings and Twins). There is also a smaller dining room (good for large parties) and a patio for drinking and eating in good weather. The first week after opening was inauspicious with a photo shoot using 2 alligators that was featured in the local news but things settled down and business is going strong.
