Two pastors, Casey Johnson and Nathan Hobert, started Redeemer City Church in 2013. These pastors were graduates of Reformed Theological Seminary, a multidenominational evangelical Christian seminary focused primarily on Presbyterian and Reformed beliefs. Their mission is to spread the Gospel by planting a church and many small local City Groups that meet in homes to share their lives like a family sharing their faith and serving each other and the community.
