Tabby & Jack’s was opened on September 19, 2007 by Ken and Michelle Lonergan with the goal to provide healthy pet food, treats and supplements to four-legged companions. Michelle was exposed to the pet industry when her parents founded an animal sanctuary in Rockford, IL. They then started Charjan’s Distributors, Inc., a natural pet food distributor. Although Michelle worked as a business banker for 20 years, she spent much of her time learning about natural and holistic forms of nutrition and healthy ways of improving pets’ lives. Her lifelong interest in animals led to her career change. Although she mainly works retail, she is available for grooming animals. They currently have four store locations that are in Fitchburg, Middleton, Stoughton and Madison.

Tabby & Jack’s main business is in consulting and providing the best proper nutritional food for pets but they also do holistic grooming (including in home grooming), daycare and playgroups for dogs and private in store and in-home dog training lessons. They currently have 6 nutritional consultants, 13 groomers and 4 daycare leaders
