Fitchburg has had a long history of displaying Christmas lights and decorations at both homes and businesses. This year the city had another Tour of Lights where interested residents signed up to put their displays on a map. People could then drive by the displays between 6 and 9 pm on December 19 and vote for the best display. There were about 50 displays on the list but many more residents had displays from small to very large. Most of these displays will be up through New Year’s Day and we encourage everyone to drive around to see them. The Fitchburg Historical Society has taken a few pictures of the displays including the winner of the Tour of Lights at 5558 Whalen Road. The large display can be seen on Whalen Road and on Fish Hatchery at the recycling location.
